  •  Select the AIRBRUSH tool from the tool palette.
  •  Select from the control palette
    ( Paper Texture none, Size 13, Opacity 100)

  • Create vertical bands of different colors.
  • Select IMAGE > BLUR > BLUR MORE 3 times. (or right click the graphic) & save as stripe.gif)
  •  Using Paint Shop Pro's text tool choose a font .( I used 48 pnt. Bell Bottom in this tutorial)
  • Place your text on the screen
    Don't deselect it.
  •  Select the FILL tool from the tool palette.
  •  From the control palette select
    (Type linear gradient,, Tolerance 0, Opacity 100)
    select OPTIONS (Blend Mode normal, Degree 180)
  • Fill the text.
  • Select FILE > OPEN & load stripe.gif.
  • From the control palette select
    (Type pattern, Tolerance 200, Opacity 100)
    select OPTIONS (Blend Mode overlay, New Pattern Source stripe.gif)
  • Fill the text.
  • Select IMAGE > EFFECTS > CUTOUT
    (Shadow Color white, Opacity 82, Blur 5, Vertical Offset 2, Horizontal Offset 2)
  • Select IMAGE > EFFECTS > DROP SHADOW
    (Shadow Color black, Opacity 82, Blur 7, Vertical Offset 4, Horizontal Offset 4)

  • Select IMAGE > EFFECTS > CUTOUT
    (Shadow Color white, Opacity 82, Blur 5, Vertical Offset -2, Horizontal Offset -2)

  • Select IMAGE > OTHER > HOT WAX 3 times
  • Select COLORS > ADJUST > BRIGHTNESS/CONTRAST
    (Brightness 44, Contrast 47)
