Firey Text





  • Set the foreground color to red.
  •  Then using Paint Shop Pro's text tool choose a font .( I used 48 pnt. Tango BT in this tutorial)
  • Place your text on the screen and deselect it.


  • Select IMAGE > OTHER > DILATE ( 3 times ).


  •  Set the foreground color to yellow.
  • Then place the text in the center and deselect it.


  • Select IMAGE > OTHER > DILATE.
  • Set the foreground color to black.
  • Then place the text in the center of the yellow text.
    Don't deselect the black text.
  • Select FILE > OPEN and load fire.gif.
  •  Select the FILL tool from the tool palette.
  •   Select PATTERN from the control palette.
    Click on OPTIONS then select fire.gif from the list of images.
    Fill the black text with the pattern.
  • Deselect the text.
  •  Select the RETOUCH tool from the tool palette
  •  Select SMUDGE from the control palette. Using the smudge tool with a brush size of 1 drag flames from the patterned area upward.
